Dr. David Sims

Dr. Sims has extensive experience in law, finance, insurance, mergers & acquisitions, wealth management, tax, and generosity advisory services in his role as lead steward and general counsel for his multi-family and business office (MFBO) clients and Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firm. He is insurance and securities licensed and admitted to practice law in Arkansas and Florida. He currently serves several MFBO clients, leads his RIA team as CEO and CCO with $200M of regulatory assets under management and $775M of assets under advisement, and has been involved in over $100M of M&A transactions since becoming licensed in 1986 to practice law in Florida.

Dr. Sims earned an undergraduate degree in finance (1983), a law degree from the University of Florida (1986), a master’s degree in theological studies from Reformed Theological Seminary (1994), and a doctorate in theology from the University of Durham in England (2006). His doctoral thesis was published in 2009 (The Child in American Evangelicalism and the Problem of Affluence, Pickwick).

Dr. Sims is a practical biblical theologian passionately committed to cultivating healthy and life-giving relationships, first and foremost with his wife, Tamara, their eight children and a growing number of grandchildren, and second with his friends and clients who are passionate about expanding God’s kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. He loves helping others discover their purpose and passions in the process of becoming generous stewards who leave lasting legacies.
